Born to Swiss and Japanese parents, Aika attained her interior design degree in Japan at the Tokyo Design Academy. During her time in Tokyo, she worked for the notable international interior designer Masamichi Katayama at Studio Wonderwall. After returning to Switzerland, she worked at multiple interior and architectural offices in Zurich until, she co-founded Studio/a/e in 2020. Always on top of emerging styles, Aika knows the three W’s of design: who, what, and where. And when the pieces she scouts don’t match her standards, you can find her taking matters in her own hands to transform furniture to create something unique for every client.

Before moving to Switzerland, Ece completed her BSc in architecture at Politecnico di Torino. After working in various architecture and interior design companies in Italy, Turkey and Switzerland, she co-founded Studio/a/e in 2020. By cause of her architectural background, Ece approaches space and proportion with immense consideration. When she is not concentrated on technical project details, you can find her enthusiastically speaking about fabrics, wallpaper and the newest spread on Architectural Digest.
